TechTarget Triples Priority Engine Platform Customer Base in One Year

Purchase intent-driven marketing and sales services company TechTarget, Inc. (Nasdaq: TTGT) today announced that it has surpassed the 200-customer mark for its IT Deal Alert Priority EngineTM purchase intent insight platform. This represents a three-fold increase in just the second calendar year since its initial release. Priority Engine is a SaaS marketing analytics and data offering that provides direct, real-time access to activity-ranked accounts and the named contacts within them who are actively researching purchases in specific enterprise technology markets.

Customers are using and finding success with Priority Engine across a number of major technology markets:

  • 50+ customers in Business Applications markets
  • 40+ Data Center customers
  • 40+ Security customers
  • 40+ in Storage markets
  • 30+ Network Infrastructure vendors

“In 2017, marketers are laser-focused on transforming data into insights and they’re doubling down on turning those insights into productive actions,” said Mike Cotoia, CEO, TechTarget. “Priority Engine delivers real and observed purchase intent data from TechTarget’s highly targeted audiences directly to our customers to improve their marketing programs and accelerate pipeline. Through its ability to consolidate intent signals, account rankings and named active prospects in one place, Priority Engine is helping marketers address their goals more simply and powerfully than the aggregation of point solutions they’ve struggled to knit together previously.”

With subscriptions available for over 475 technology- and geo-specific segments worldwide, Priority Engine further simplifies customer operations by integrating directly with major CRM and Marketing Automation systems. By providing organizations direct access to thousands of “active buyers” clients would commonly otherwise miss, Priority Engine improves outcomes for both Marketing and Sales for Demand Generation, Lead Nurturing, Account-Based Marketing (ABM), Sales Prospecting, Channel Enablement and more.

Based on their very real gains, customers are making annual commitments to leverage TechTarget’s purchase intent insight on an on-going basis. The Company generated more than $31 million from its suite of IT Deal AlertTM purchase intent insight solutions in 2016.

TechTarget has become a leader in the market based on how its unmatched purchase intent insight is created and delivered. The depth and breadth of content across TechTarget’s extensive network of more than 140 technology-specific web sites make it possible to understand behavior and audience activity in ways that are not available from other methods. Since 1999, TechTarget has built a deep technical content footprint and unrivaled topical authority in enterprise technology that enterprise technology experts rely on daily. With 500,000 content pages covering some 10,000+ targeted technology topics across its network, TechTarget is at the top of search results in virtually every major technology market. This ensures that when enterprise technology buyers have a need, they find TechTarget first - and their intent then becomes visible across their entire buyer’s journey, providing essential input for marketing activation and pipeline development.

“TechTarget has been an instrumental partner to SimpliVity and undoubtedly helped us rapidly grow in this fast-paced, congested market,” said Marianne Budnick, CMO for hyperconverged infrastructure solution provider SimpliVity. “Over the duration of our partnership, we saw demonstrated impact on pipeline and MQL conversions by integrating their knowledge of audience activity into our sales and marketing outreach.”
