Wolters Kluwer 17th Annual TeamMate User Forum Kicks Off in San Diego

TeamMate, part of Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting, today kicked off its annual User Forum, a global event attracting auditors from some of the most innovative audit departments in the world, both large and small, across all industries.

Now in its 17th year, the TeamMate User Forum connects industry-leading audit professionals, users of TeamMate software, and representatives from all departments within Wolters Kluwer TeamMate. The event offers more than 60 CPE-accredited educational sessions delivered via lectures, panel discussions, and roundtable sessions – all led by leading experts in their field. Attendees will gain valuable insight into TeamMate's newest releases, learn about the latest audit trends and technologies, and network and share best practices with leaders and peers.

New to this year’s event is the Emerging Leaders program, geared towards understanding what it takes to position yourself and make a difference in how you are viewed. This program is open to participants who consider themselves an emerging leader or are in a position to mentor and encourage their development. Sessions will address the leadership path and essential skills for aspiring audit executives, as well as offer a panel of practitioners who were highlighted as Emerging Leaders in the December 2016 IA Magazine.

Additionally, this year’s event will showcase TeamMate+, the award winning, easy-to-use audit power tool that delivers a modern and streamlined approach to effective and efficient internal audits. Reimagined from the ground up, TeamMate+ is a fully configurable, web-based audit, risk, and compliance platform that builds on more than 20 years of market-leading experience and encompasses best practices learned over that period.

All attendees will benefit from a dynamic keynote presentation from the Afterburner team, made up of current and former U.S. fighter pilots who understand how critical it is to execute in hostile, fast-changing environments every single day. This team knows that while you can't always control the competition or predict the demands of your customers, you can learn how to overcome threats, maintain flexibility, and succeed in uncertain times. Afterburner’s highly-skilled speakers have trained over 1.5 million managers and executives in Flawless Execution℠, a simple, scalable continuous improvement process that creates accountable actions and enables organizations to Plan, Brief, Execute and Debrief.

“We’re excited to kick off another successful User Forum, showcasing our award-winning products and focusing our efforts on the leaders of tomorrow,” said Mike Gowell, General Manager of TeamMate. “We repeatedly hear from attendees how valuable the event is, especially when they go back to work and realize they can immediately apply some of the best practices they have learned. We continue to strive to provide a world-class event that offers key insights and learnings that have a real impact on the day-to-day lives of internal auditors.”

The event is being held at the San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina from Sunday, October 1 through Wednesday, October 4. While at the event, attendees enjoy a variety of activities that allow them to network and bond with their peers, from relaxing cocktail parties to a cardio fitness activity to an evening of dinner and entertainment onboard the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier & Museum.

TeamMate is the world's most widely-used internal audit management system, with more than 107,000 auditors at over 2,800 organizations using the solution globally. In addition, TeamMate solutions include Controls Management and Analytics. Together, this ecosystem of solutions provides auditors with the confidence needed to manage all aspects of risk identification and assessment, electronic working paper creation and management, controls framework management, and data analysis.
