Wolters Kluwer Leaders Honored as Top Most Influential People in the Accounting Profession

Two Wolters Kluwer leaders have been recognized nationally as among the top in the profession by prominent tax and accounting publication, Accounting Today. In its newly published list of “Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting” for 2017, Accounting Today named Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting Global Division CEO, Karen Abramson, and Jason Marx, CEO of Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting, North America, to the annual list of top thought leaders and visionaries who are shaping the profession.

Accounting Today recognized Abramson for “leaving her mark on the desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones of countless accountants” as leader of one of the largest providers of tools to the tax and accounting profession. Marx was honored for his leadership in “leveraging the cloud and smart technology in a steady stream of useful tools and upgrades that get right to the needs of practitioners.”

Accounting Today selected the honorees from a long list of thought leaders and change-makers in the profession that included top executives, regulators, firm managing partners, educators, consultants and others. Both Abramson and Marx have been named to the list in previous years.

This honor comes at the heels of other prestigious industry recognition for Abramson, including two Silver Stevie Awards for Executive of the Year (Financial Services) and Woman of the Year (Computer Software) in the 2017 International Business Awards as well as Silver and Bronze leadership awards from the 2017 Golden Bridge Awards.
