Wolters Kluwer’s Bas Kniphorst Recognized as Top Young Industry Leader

Bas Kniphorst, Vice President of Product Management for the US Research & Learning business in Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting, has been named as among the top in the accounting profession by CPA Practice Advisor in its annual list of the nation's "Top 20 under 40" Superstars. This elite list recognizes young leaders who are helping advance the profession through their roles in technology, education, consulting and firm development, and helping to guide the profession into the future.

CPA Practice Advisor selected 20 professionals, all under the age of 40, based on their current leadership and contributions in and around the tax and accounting profession. According to the publication, the 20 under 40 honorees are “visibly and incrementally changing the accounting profession through their exemplary leadership, their innovative thinking, their collaborative efforts guaranteed to provide unity to the profession across the generations, and their community outreach which extends the visibility of the profession outside the workplace.”

Kniphorst was honored for his leadership in developing solutions that have helped accountants grow their practice and be more effective.

“We’re proud that one of our own has been recognized on this elite list for his hard work, dedication and leadership,” said Josh Braunstein, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the US Research & Learning business in Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting. “Bas’ global perspective and deep industry and institutional knowledge have enabled him to add significant value to all the businesses he has worked in and led.”

Most recently, Kniphorst and his team have developed award-winning tools that play a vital function in the industry by allowing tax and accounting professionals to understand and act on laws, regulations and changes. In the United States, Bas’ team launched CCH AnswerConnect, an answer-oriented, tax information service developed for both practitioners and corporate tax professionals who rely on quality tax content to advise their clients. CCH AnswerConnect represents a major step forward in how Wolters Kluwer leverages its industry-leading tax information, replacing traditional search and retrieve with a transformed question-and-answer model. Additionally, Bas played a lead role in the development and launch of CCH iQ in Australia, the tax and accounting industry’s first solution to rely on artificial intelligence to redefine how accounting firms do business in the cloud.
