Olympic Steel Names James Post to General Manager — Chambersburg Division

Olympic Steel Inc. (Nasdaq: ZEUS), a leading national metals service center, today announced James Post has been named General Manager of the Company’s Chambersburg Division, effective immediately.

Post, joined Olympic Steel in February as General Manager, Commercial – Northeast, bringing 33 years of steel industry experience to the Company. In his new role, Post will be responsible for the oversight and management of the Chambersburg Division including day-to-day facility operations, overseeing inventory management, controlling expenses and business development.

The Chambersburg facility consists of two cutting edge plate processing operations. Post will be based in Chambersburg and will report to John Mooney, Vice President – Eastern Region.

Post has experience in many facets of the steel business, including warehouse operations, sales and management. He was most recently employed as General Manager of Kloeckner Metals Corporation in York, PA. Prior to that, Post served as General Manager of American Steel and Aluminum LLC, in Middletown, PA. Post was also a founding partner of Patriot Metals LLC, which was later purchased by Nova Steel.

“Since joining Olympic Steel earlier this year, Jim has been working to strategically improve distribution and fabrication sales at the Milford and Chambersburg facilities,” Mooney said. “Jim has been actively building both customer and supplier relationships, leading to increased sales volume.”

Post studied civil engineering at The University of Maine in Orono, Maine. He also participated in the Metals Service Center Institute C.E.O. Management Course Cohort 1 with the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
