In this difficult market environment, Swiss Life will continue to stand as a rock in the surf and a safe haven for investors (impressive long term outperformance vs SXIP index of 659%). We see the company achieve or even exceed its 2027 financial targets: 1/ the capital-light and high ROE-generating fee business, which is the growth driver, should reach c.50% of operating profit by 2027, 2/ ROE target range stands at 17-19% (ODDO BHF 2027e: 20%), 3/ cash remittance of CHF 3.6-3.8bn (+28% vs “Swiss Life 2024”, ODDO BHF: CHF 3.8bn). The company will remain shareholder friendly (pay out >75% vs >60% and share buybacks). We initiate coverage at Outperform with a TP of CHF 900.Swiss Life is a holding company, engaged in providing life insurance and pension solutions and services. Co.'s segments include: Switzerland, France, Germany, International, Asset Managers, and Other. Co.'s Switzerland, France, Germany and International segments primarily consist of life insurance operations and distribution units. The life insurance operations provides a range of life, pension, health, annuity and investment-type policies to both groups and individuals, including disability coverage. Co. focuses primarily on life and pensions in Switzerland, France and Germany and on cross-border business from Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Singapore.
