EME Macro/Strategy: macro all-in-one (17-23 February)

The Polish business sentiment surveys showed some improvement in the investment outlook and companies’ expectations, while labour market indicators point to a continuing gentle softening. In Hungary, comments from outgoing MPC member Pleshinger ruled out any scope for rate cuts this year. In Türkiye, the FX reserves of the Central Bank continued to rise briskly. In Kazakhstan, the current account deficit widened in 4Q.
