WOOD Flash – Czech Republic macro: elections – forced cooperation should keep the economy strong

The Czech National Statistics office has released the final count of the general elections that took place on 3-4 October. As widely flagged by the opinion polls, the party of Andrej Babis, ANO 2011, gained the relative majority of the votes, with 34.51% of the total, equivalent to 80 of the 200 seats in the Chamber of Deputies. ANO won 13 of the 14 regions in the country.
