The index opened on a flat note and faced a bearish session. The local bourse posted an intraday low of 408pts and concluded with a loss of 203pts to settle at 39,687pts. The volumes clocked in the last trading session were comparatively better than the previous trading session. The Index is currently trading below major moving averages on daily chart. During the past 10 trading sessions, there have been 3 white candles and 7 black candles for a net of 4 black candles. Among the strength Indicators, RSI (Relative Strength Index) has just reached its lowest value in the last 14 trading session which cements a bearish view.
The chart formation depicts that the index may find initial support near 39,500. A break below mentioned support can result into further weakness towards 39,200 and 38,800pts level. Alternatively, the index can face resistance near 40,000pts initially and then head towards 40,400 and 40,700 area. It is recommended to accumulate positions on weakness with risk defined below support zone.
