The index opened on a positive note and remained volatile throughout the last trading session. The local bourse posted a high of 602pts and concluded with a gain of 187pts to settle at 58,086pts. The volumes witnessed in the last trading session were slightly lower than the previous trading session. The Index is currently 31.6% above its 200-period moving average and is in an upward trend. Volatility is relatively normal as compared to the average volatility over the last 10 periods. Volume indicators reflect very strong flows of volume into the Index (bullish). Trend forecasting oscillators are currently bullish.
The chart formation depicts that the index may find initial support near 58,800. A break below mentioned support can result into further weakness towards 58,500 and 58,100pts level. Alternatively, the index can face resistance near 59,500pts initially and then head towards 59,800 and 60,150 area. It is recommended to accumulate positions and use a cautious approach.
