An unfavourable context for a satisfactory post-merger

LafargeHolcim Morocco reported for the first half of 2017 revenues down by 10.3% to MAD3,928m compared to the Pro forma 30/06/2016. This decline in sales was mainly due to a 9.2% decline in local demand for cement. Current operating income around MAD1,566m, an improvement of 27% compared with the Lafarge Cements COI on 30/06/2016. On the other hand, the current operating margin declined by 376 bp due to petcoke soaring prices.
