Transportation: Dropping Coverage of Railroads & Airlines

Effective immediately we are discontinuing coverage of American Airlines (AAL), Delta Air Lines (DAL), Southwest Airlines (LUV), United Continental (UAL), Canadian National Railway (CNR CN), Canadian Pacific Railway (CNP CN), CSX Corp (CSX), Kansas City Southern (KSU), Norfolk Southern (NSC) and Union Pacific (UNP) following the departure of the sector analyst. Going forward, investors should not rely on our previously published notes, ratings, price targets or estimates for the above companies as they will not be updated following the discontinuation of coverage.

American Airlines Group Inc.

American Airlines Group is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, the company's business activity is the operation of a primary network carrier, providing scheduled air transportation for passengers and cargo. The company's regional carriers provide scheduled air transportation under American Eagle. The American Eagle carriers include the company's regional carriers Envoy Aviation Group Inc., PSA Airlines, Inc. and Piedmont Airlines, Inc., as well as third-party regional carriers including Republic Airline Inc., Mesa Airlines, Inc., SkyWest Airlines, Inc. and Compass Airlines, LLC. The company's cargo division provides freight and mail services, with facilities and interline connections available across the globe.

Canadian Pacific Railway operates a transcontinental railway in Canada and the U.S. Co.'s business mix includes bulk commodities, merchandise freight and intermodal traffic, serving the principal business centers of Canada from Montreal, Quebec, to Vancouver, British Columbia, and the U.S. Northeast and Midwest regions. As of Dec 31 2016, Co. operated on a network of approximately 12,400 miles of track, of which CP owns 10,800 miles and has access to 1,600 miles under trackage rights and lease agreements. Of the total mileage operated, about 5,600 miles were located in western Canada, 2,000 miles in eastern Canada, 4,400 miles in the U.S. Midwest and 400 miles in the U.S. Northeast.

CSX Corporation

CSX provides rail-based freight transportation services. The company's principal operating subsidiary, CSX Transportation, Inc., provides a link to the transportation supply chain through its rail network, which serves centers in states east of the Mississippi River, the District of Columbia and the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec. The company's CSX Intermodal Terminals, Inc. subsidiary owns and operates a system of intermodal terminals, primarily in the eastern United States and also performs drayage services (the pickup and delivery of intermodal shipments). The company's Total Distribution Services, Inc. subsidiary serves the automotive industry with distribution centers and storage locations.

Delta Air Lines Inc.

Delta Air Lines provides scheduled air transportation for passengers and cargo. The company serves the Transatlantic, Transpacific and Latin America markets directly on the company and through joint ventures with airline partners. Internationally, the company has hubs and market presence in Amsterdam, London-Heathrow, Mexico City, Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Seoul-Incheon. These arrangements are commercial joint ventures that include joint sales and marketing coordination, co-location of airport facilities and other commercial cooperation arrangements. The company has other businesses arising from its airline operations, including providing maintenance and engineering support for its regional aircraft.

Kansas City Southern is a transportation holding company with domestic and international rail operations in North America. The company's subsidiary, The Kansas City Southern Railway Company, is a United States Class I railroad that serves a several region in the midwest and southeast regions of United States and has north/south rail route between Kansas City, MO and several main ports along the Gulf of Mexico in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The company's subsidiary, Kansas City Southern de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. operates a main commercial corridor of the Mexican railroad system and has as its main route a direct rail passageway between Mexico City and Laredo, TX.

Norfolk Southern Corporation

Norfolk Southern is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, the company is engaged in the rail transportation of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods primarily in the Southeast, East, and Midwest and, via interchange with rail carriers, to and from the rest of the United States. The company also transports overseas freight through several Atlantic and Gulf Coast ports. The company provides intermodal network in the eastern half of the United States. The company's railroad operates in several states and the District of Columbia. The company's system reaches manufacturing plants, electric generating facilities, mines, distribution centers, transload facilities, and other businesses in its service area.

Southwest Airlines operates Southwest Airlines, a passenger airline that provides scheduled air transportation in the United States and near-international markets. The company has Boeing 737 aircraft in its fleet and serves destinations in various states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and other near-international countries such as Mexico, Jamaica, The Bahamas, Aruba, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Belize, Cuba, the Cayman Islands, and Turks and Caicos. The company principally provides point-to-point service, which allows for direct nonstop routing. The company also provides a suite of digital platforms to support Customers' needs prior to and during the course of their travel.

Union Pacific Corporation

Union Pacific, through its operating subsidiary, Union Pacific Railroad Company, is a Class I railroad operating in the United States. The company's network included route miles, linking Pacific Coast and Gulf Coast ports with the Midwest and eastern United States. gateways and providing several corridors to key Mexican gateways. The company serves the western two-thirds of the country and maintains coordinated schedules with other rail carriers for the handling of freight to and from the Atlantic Coast, the Pacific Coast, the Southeast, the Southwest, Canada, and Mexico. The company's business mix includes agricultural products, energy, industrial, and premium.

United Airlines Holdings Inc.

United Airlines Holdings is a holding company and its principal, wholly-owned subsidiary is United Airlines, Inc. (United). The company is engaged in the transportation of people and cargo throughout North America and to destinations in Asia, Europe, Africa, the Pacific, the Middle East and Latin America. The company, through United and its regional carriers, operates flights to airports, with its hubs at Newark Liberty International Airport, Chicago O'Hare International Airport, Denver International Airport, George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, A.B.
