TOC: First Drilling at Expansion Area Hits High-Grade
What you need to know:
• Tocvan reported the first RC drill result from the 100% controlled Expansion Area just to the north of the Main Zone.
• A total of 776.2m of drilling was reported across 4 drill holes.
• The highlight intercept was a scout hole reporting 3.1 g/t Au over 19.8m, including 19.4 g/t Au over 3.1m. This is the best result outside the Main Zone, to-date.
• TOC plans to immediately follow up on these targets.
This morning, Tocvan Ventures Corp. (TOC:CSE, TCVNF:OTC), announced RC drill results from its Gran Pilar Gold-Silver Project, specifically at the never-before-drilled 100% controlled expansion area. A total of 776.2m of drilling was reported in this release, across four drill holes with gold at surface being discovered in all holes. Scout hole, JES-24-101 intersected a high-grade section from surface of 3.06 g/t Au over 19.8m including 19.39 g/t Au over 3.1m, marking the best result outside the Main Zone. We are maintaining our BUY rating and $0.90/share target on Tocvan Ventures.
Two exploration holes were completed, testing the northwest trending mineralization and two scout holes were completed in a northwest direction, testing for a further continuation of mineralization. Hole -101 mentioned above, intersected a zone near surface that ran to a depth of 106.8m where gold averaged 0.6 g/t the length of the hole. Mineralization here coincides with a mineralized and sulphide bearing granitoid body and its contact with the Main Zone altered andesite volcanics. Hole -101 was also ~250m northwest of last year’s drill hole, JES-24-79 which returned 1.0 g/t Au over 42.7m. JES-24-102, reported today, was 185m northeast of -101 and hit 0.43 g/t Au and 6.43 g/t Ag over 16.8m, including 1.96 g/t Au over 3.1m, but stopped early due to water at 166.2m (Figure 1). Recent soil sampling further north on this trend returned 519 ppb Au, which will be a high potential target for future drilling. Further sampling and mapping shows mineralization continued ~700m north and ~2.0km east in this year.
CEO Brodie Sutherland emphasized that “an instant discovery of unique high-grade mineralization on our expansion area is an incredible advancement for our first four drill holes ever in this area”.
Highlights:
• JES-24-101: 0.61 g/t Au over 106.8m, including 3.06 g/t Au over 19.8m, and including 19.39 g/t Au over 3.1m
• JES-24-102: 0.19 g/t Au over 44.2m, including 0.43 g/t Au over 16.8m, and including 1.96 g/t Au over 3.1m
