This morning, Tocvan Ventures Corp. (TOC:CSE, TCVNF:OTC), announced new surface exploration results from its Gran Pilar Gold Silver Project in Sonora, Mexico. A total of 188 rock chip samples and nine infill soil samples were analyzed from the Southern Block of the 100% controlled Expansion Area. Four new target zones spanning 1.8km by 1.0km, with notable rock chip results including 3.1 g/t Au, 64 g/t Ag, 0.67% Cu, and 0.92% lead (Figure 1 & 2). Beyond this, there are new potential large-scale systems within the Northern Block. Today’s results continue to give us confidence that there is potential for a large-scale gold-silver deposit on the property. Additionally, management’s ability to cost-effectively define these several targets and zones reinforces our trust in management’s discipline. We are maintaining our BUY rating and $0.90/share target on Tocvan Ventures.
Early sampling and mapping in the Northern Block’s North Alteration Zone indicate a large-scale epithermal system (3.2km by 1.5km), distinct from the South Block targets, which could significantly expand the project’s resource base (Figure 3). An additional unsampled area measuring 2.1km by 1.4km lies to the east, highlighting further potential. CEO Brodie Sutherland emphasized the potential for two separate mineralized systems at Gran Pilar, underscoring the scale and resource potential of the project. He noted that the Southern Block results mirror those of the Main Zone at a similar stage of exploration, with road access now accelerating advancement.
Highlights from today’s results include:
• Four new target areas identified
• Rock chips up to 3.1 g/t Au, 64 g/t Ag, 0.67% Cu and 0.92% Pb
• Core drilling ongoing at Pilar’s Main Zone, four holes completed
At the Main Zone, core drilling has been ongoing with four holes completed, totalling 408m. Initial visual inspections have identified lithologies and structures, including vein and breccia zones, known to host gold-silver mineralization. While assay results are pending, these findings are expected to enhance the geological model and support resource development. RC drilling is set to resume shortly on the expansion area, focusing on the northern extension of mineralization.
