TM: High-Grade Underground Drilling Continues at Kombat
What you need to know:
• TM announced several high-grade copper and silver intercepts near shaft 1 at its Kombat mine in Namibia.
• The holes reported today lie close to existing workings and planned developments, allowing for easy integration into the mine plan.
• The highlight hole was hole KWO-217 which intersected 11.21% Cu and 117.9 g/t Ag over 5m.
• Last month, we interviewed management, watch it here.
This morning, Trigon Metals Inc. (TM:TSXV) announced drill results from recent underground drilling near Shaft 1 at Levels 3 and 5 at the Kombat mine. The holes, which were originally intended to be confirmation holes, have significantly increased the grade and extended the known mineralization in the area. The highlight intercept was hole KWO-217 which intersected a staggering 11.21% Cu and 117.9 g/t Ag over 5m (Figure 1). We are maintaining our BUY rating and target price of C$3.50/share on TM.
The drill holes reported today were targeting orebodies adjacent to historic workings and close to existing development, meaning, that the high-grade discovered today can be integrated into the mine plan in the near term (Figure 2).
Holes KWO-217, KWO-218, and KWO-221 were drilled on the Southeastern margin of the sublevel 3.1, about 105m from surface, which is still quite shallow. All holes intercepted significant copper and silver mineralization between 8m and 16m to the Northeast, Southwest of their closest historical intercepts.
Level 3 Highlights:
• KWO-217: 11.21% Cu and 117.9 g/t Ag over 5m
• KWO-281: 2.55% Cu and 18.7 g/t Ag over 8m
• KWO-221: 3.93% Cu and 56.1 g/t Ag over 9m
Holes KWO-194 and KWO-198 were drilled on the Southern margin of Level 5, ~150m from surface where multiple intercepts found between 80m and 84m to the East-West from their nearest historical intercepts (Figure 3).
Level 5 Highlights:
• KWO-194: 4.36% Cu and 22.3 g/t Ag over 2m
• KWO-198: 2.83% Cu and 49.8 g/t Ag over 4m
