Current account balance in February produced a deficit of US$0.7bn, which was broadly in line with expectations. This is a pretty small deficit for February, considering the seasonal rise in energy consumption and decline in tourism income. With the February data, we see that Turkey’s 12-month rolling C/A deficit improved from US$20.8bn in January to US$17.0bn in February, or to below 2.5% of GDP.
