BGC Partners: Turkey produced a C/A deficit of US$2.8bn in December 2019, slightly better than expectations…

Current account balance in December produced a deficit of US$2.8bn, which was slightly better than the US$3.0bn expectation. As such, we see that Turkey’s 12-month rolling C/A surplus declined to US$1.7bn in December, from US$3.4bn in November. Note that in December 2018 there was a C/A deficit of US$1.1bn.
