TURKEY - November inflation reading was lower than expectations...
: November inflation reading was lower than expectations... Monthly consumer price inflation came in at -1.4% in November, compared to market consensus of -0.5%. Annual CPI inflation, which was 25.2% in October decreased to 21.6% in November while annual core CPI decreased to 20.7%. November inflation seems to have reflected the impact of the all-out fight against inflation programme kicked off mid-October, alongside tax breaks and energy price cuts, as well as TL re-appreciation. The latter also seemed to have led the 2.5% m/m drop in PPI, as annual PPI dropped further to 38.5%.
