American Water Names Eric Beaumont Vice President of Strategic Business Development

American Water Works Company, Inc. (NYSE: AWK), the largest publicly traded U.S. water and wastewater utility company, has named Eric Beaumont as vice president of Strategic Business Development.

“I am very pleased to welcome Eric to our business development team at American Water,” said Mark Strauss, senior vice president, Corporate Strategy and Business Development. “Eric’s deep experience in regulatory support, asset management, financial modeling, relationship management, as well as exposure to utility distribution and generation operations will bring great value to American Water.”

In this new role, Beaumont will work with Strauss and other senior leadership and the Business Development teams in both the regulated and market-based businesses to identify, evaluate and execute growth strategies for the company.

Beaumont most recently worked at Barclays as a Chartered Financial Analyst covering water, power and utility stocks. Prior to joining Barclays, he served as a director and portfolio manager at UBS O’Connor, also covering the U.S. utility sector.

Before UBS O’Connor, Beaumont was a partner at Copia Capital, LLC as a lead sector analyst for the U.S. utility sector. He has held positions of senior engagement manager with Navigant Consulting and senior safety analysis engineer in the Nuclear Fuel Services group at Commonwealth Edison.

Beaumont earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Strategic Management degree from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering degree from the Pennsylvania State University.
