"We created a unique mobile experience that’s simple and saves customers money by connecting to our nationwide Wi-Fi network, and allows them to only pay for the data they use,” said Greg Butz, president of Xfinity Mobile. “Now that we’re available across all of our distribution platforms, including our retail locations in all of our markets, we look forward to introducing even more customers to Xfinity Mobile.”

Xfinity Mobile combines the nation's largest and most reliable 4G LTE network with the largest Wi-Fi network of more than 18 million hotspots nationwide to support a seamless internet and entertainment experience inside and out of the home. Xfinity Mobile customers are using Wi-Fi to connect and save on their cellular data charges. In addition to using Wi-Fi at home, nearly 70 percent connect to Xfinity WiFi when they are on the go.

Most consumers can save 30 percent on their wireless bill with Xfinity Mobile compared to other providers. Available to all Xfinity Internet customers, the service includes up to five lines with unlimited nationwide talk and text, and no line access fees. Each Xfinity Mobile customer receives 100 MB of shared data across all lines on the account to get them started, and the freedom to choose from two straightforward data options:

  • Unlimited – $45 per month, per line on up to five lines with no usage limits1. That’s the lowest unlimited price per line available today.
  • By the Gig – $12 per GB of shared cellular data across all lines on an account each month. The majority of customers are choosing this option.

Xfinity Mobile was designed to be intuitive and easy-to-manage, and customers are taking advantage, with many opting to “switch and save” on their data plan by changing from “By the Gig” to “Unlimited” data options during their billing cycle, at no charge – a feature that is unique to Xfinity Mobile. In addition, families can mix-and-match “By the Gig” and “Unlimited” options on an account so each individual has the data option that makes sense for them. Nearly 25 percent of Xfinity Mobile accounts have at least one line using “By the Gig,” and one line with the “Unlimited” option – another feature no other wireless carrier offers.

Xfinity Mobile offers the most popular devices on the market today. Available Apple devices include iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus – including the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus (PRODUCT) RED Special Edition – iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, and iPhone SE.

Samsung devices include the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, Galaxy S7, and Galaxy S7 edge. The LG X Charge rounds out the handsets available to customers. Payment options for devices include monthly installments across a 24-month period, or a one-time, upfront payment of the full retail price of the phone.

What Policies Matter to Telco’s Success: Supply Side or Demand Side? ...

T CEO John Stankey recently said that “I’ve never seen federal policy this supportive of market-based investment in advanced networks.” That statement raises multiple interesting investor related questions about what does, and does not, support investment in advanced networks, including the relative importance of those policies that drive supply and those that drive demand, and how government is treating advanced networks versus networks that have lower cost structures but also involve lower pe...

CMCSA: The value unlock trade? Nope. No major change in fundamentals

We shared our view of Comcast’s results this morning. Results were in line and commentary on the business fundamentals were mostly unchanged. In this note following the earnings call and our follow-up conversations, we address the following key investor issues including 1) the big picture value unlock theory; 2) the newly (apparently) amended VZ MVNO agreement; 3) broadband ARPU growth; 4) Connectivity EBITDA growth; 5) 2026 capital spend; 6) wireless net adds, and 7) 2026 FCF.

CMCSA 4Q25 Quick Take: Results mostly in line; Waiting to hear what’s ...

Comcast’s results were mostly in line with estimates. Broadband losses and ARPU were in line. On the call, we would be keen to hear about subscriber trends in 1Q. We don’t expect any major changes to the stock price based on these results. What will drive the stock today is commentary on 1Q broadband trends and potential ‘value unlock’ from an NBCU spin.

Can CMCSA Buy CHTR After the Cox Deal is Done?

With the CHTR/Cox deal moving towards approval and CMCSA out of running for WBD, we are again getting questions as to whether CMCSA could buy the combined CHTR/Cox entity. Further, as our New Street colleagues discussed yesterday, there has been a divergence in the stock price performances of Comcast and Charter driven by a potential ‘value unlock’ resulting from a potential split of Comcast cable from NBCU. It is beyond the scope of our expertise to analyze the financial details that could jus...

CMCSA: Potential Value Unlock?

Investors have been asking about the diverging stock price performance between Comcast and Charter. We believe the reason is an expanding conversation about the potential ‘value unlock’ that could emerge were Comcast to split its cable and NBCU businesses. In this note, we estimate what Comcast could be worth were this scenario to play out. To be clear, we are skeptical. Not that it shouldn’t happen, but rather the Roberts’ are too invested in their belief about the synergy between these entitie...
