FireEye Announces General Availability of Helix – The First Intelligence-Led Platform to Simplify, Integrate, and Automate Security Operations

FireEye, Inc. (NASDAQ: FEYE), the intelligence-led security company, today announced that FireEye® Helix™ is now generally available around the world. Helix is a first-of-its-kind security platform built for customers and partners who want a simplified, integrated, and automated platform as the center of their security operations.

Already gaining traction with leading companies and technology partners around the world, FireEye Helix is the result of a multi-year effort to address customers’ most difficult security problems – hundreds of thousands of noisy alerts, dozens of disconnected products, and ensuing strain on resources. Applying FireEye iSIGHT® intelligence, orchestration, and Mandiant® expertise to any security operations environment, Helix is designed to deliver the simplified, integrated, and automated security operations experience customers want.

Helix does this by over 300 technology integrations with basic security tools in-use by customers, including next-generation firewalls, anti-virus and SIEMs, and by fostering an ecosystem of advanced security technologies. This is all centralized in a single management and analytics interface designed by and for security practitioners. Pricing and deployment also have been simplified, with a low-cost, “as-a-service” subscription model that flexibly scales with an organization’s business.

"We set out on a journey nearly three years ago to bring together the industry’s leading intelligence, network and endpoint security offerings, consulting knowledge, and trusted partners to create the first intelligence-led security platform," said Grady Summers, EVP and Chief Technology Officer at FireEye. "With Helix, we are delivering the basis of simpler, integrated, and automated security operations with a powerful, central hub that will reduce risk and costs for our customers.”

Fortune 50 Security in Action for All Partners & Customers

For partners, FireEye Helix provides one platform to unify their customers’ entire security operations program and realize additional value from their current security infrastructure. Partners can utilize their knowledge of client environments and assist with implementation, as well as design orchestration playbooks to automate low-level response tasks that previously required expert analysts’ time. Helix also provides the option for customers to directly manage their security operations or have a partner or FireEye manage their security operations, including the ability to step in at the exact moment a security event exceeds their capacity or expertise.

“We view FireEye and Helix as our strategic security partner and solution. As a multi-billion dollar global manufacturer, putting in place a best-in-class solution and partner was paramount. We understand the changing dynamics of the threat landscape and have confidence in FireEye to ensure we mitigate our risks for both our IT and operational technologies. Helix gives us an incredibly powerful yet easy-to-use solution. Including FireEye-as-a-Service (FaaS), we could think of no better way to bring our security posture to world-class. Without question, we found FireEye provided the most value for our security investment,” said Don Martin, CIO, Enersys.

“As a global retailer, security is mission critical as we focus on creating high-quality products and delivering best-in-class digital and in-store experiences with new technologies. The integration of our infrastructure with FireEye Helix, and the insights it can generate with its industry-leading visibility, ensure that our security team will be able to engage with each security issue quickly,” added the CISO of a leading apparel company.

The Future of Security: Simplify, Integrate, and Automate

Unlike basic security products that rely on Artifical Intelligence, sandboxing or other singular technologies, Helix combines machine, adversary, and breach intelligence to identify what these other solutions fail to detect. Helix delivers automation and orchestration that increases response speed, shrinks alert-to-fix time, and lowers cost of operations.

FireEye Helix is built to make it simple for organizations of all sizes to take full advantage of its capabilities, whether they have their own security operations centers or rely on one of many FireEye managed security services partners. In addition, for organizations with stretched resources looking for managed detection and response services to augment their teams, Helix works seamlessly as the default technology stack for FireEye as a Service™ (FaaS™), including the newly launched Continuous Guidance™ offering, a managed detection and response service for identifying and prioritizing threats.

Pricing and Availability

  • The FireEye Helix Platform is generally available today, priced by tier, as a subscription, which ensures customers continue to benefit from intelligence-led feature updates at no additional cost.
  • For existing FireEye customers, simple upgrade programs are available.
  • Additional features are available as add-ons subscriptions to the Helix platform, including: Expanded Automation capabilities, Enhanced Malware Analysis, and more.
