Glu Mobile Inc. (NASDAQ: GLUU), a leading global developer and publisher of free-to-play mobile games, today announced it has partnered with MLB, the Major League Baseball Players Association, the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association and Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant for the upcoming release of the latest title in the successful Tap Sports Baseball franchise. Through Glu’s multi-year agreements with MLB, the MLBPA and MLBPAA, Tap Sports Baseball is set to include all 30 teams as well as current players and select former players, offering the most realistic baseball game on mobile.
For the second year in a row, the Tap Sports Baseball franchise will feature the likeness of Bryant. The second overall draft pick in 2013, the now 25-year-old quickly emerged as a top talent and fan-favorite. He made his MLB debut in 2015 where he would go on to earn the Jackie Robinson National League Rookie of the Year. In 2016, Bryant helped lead the Cubs to a World Series championship and was named the National League Most Valuable Player.
