Huron Recognized by Consulting Magazine for Continued Commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility

Global professional services firm Huron (NASDAQ: HURN) today announced that it is the recipient of Consulting magazine’s “Excellence in Social & Community Investment Award” for the firm’s 2015 “Wishes in Flight” campaign. The campaign supported the Make-A-Wish® Foundation – which helps grant the wishes of children diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition – through the donation of airline miles from Huron employees.

“We embrace a culture of commitment to the communities in which we live and work, and our employees continue to give back in creative and compassionate ways,” said James H. Roth, chief executive officer and president of Huron. “Working with the Make-A-Wish Foundation allowed us to make a difference to so many at once. We are humbled by Consulting magazine’s recognition of our efforts to make these wishes a reality.”

The firm’s initial goal of 250,000 employee-donated miles was doubled after receiving nearly that many miles the first week of the month-long campaign. The total 1,286,000 miles Huron employees donated helped Make-A-Wish grant more than 25 wishes.

Huron issued a new challenge to employees to surpass its 2015 performance in 2016. Once again, Huron employees have exceeded that goal, donating more than 1.4 million miles.

Huron received the same Consulting magazine honor for its work with Test Positive Awareness Network (TPAN) and for its Annual Day of Service in 2015 and 2014 respectively.

Vermilion Short Shots: Technically Vulnerable Stocks

Short Shots is a collection of technically vulnerable charts culled from the Negative Inflecting and Toppy columns within our Weekly Compass report or from various technical screening processes. The charts contained in this report have developed concerning technical patterns that suggest further price deterioration is likely. For these reasons Short Shots can also be a great source of ideas for investors interested in short-selling candidates.
