KB Home Announces the Grand Opening of Compass in Hayward

KB Home (NYSE: KBH) today announced the grand opening of Compass, the homebuilder’s latest East Bay new home community in Hayward. The commuter-friendly community offers homebuyers convenience to transportation corridors, employment centers, and regional parks.

Compass is close to Interstates 880 and 580 and State Route 92, as well as to BART® and Amtrak® stations for easy travel throughout the Bay Area. Hayward is home to top employers, such as California State University, East Bay, Hayward Unified School District and Kaiser Permanente®. In addition, the nearby San Mateo-Hayward Bridge links the area to several prominent technology and advanced manufacturing firms in the Silicon Valley and the peninsula communities of San Mateo, Redwood City and Palo Alto.

The five three-story floor plans offered at Compass can include up to 2,022 square feet of living space, with as many as four bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths along with two-car garages. Priced from the low-$700,000s, the single-family homes and duets at Compass feature modern home designs and are distinguished by open layouts, spacious kitchens, outdoor patios and included solar systems.

Residents can enjoy Hayward’s 3,000 acres of parks and open space, including 20 miles of running and hiking trails. Hayward also boasts California’s oldest Japanese garden, a championship golf course and beautiful vistas from the hills to the shoreline. Shopping and restaurants are available to Compass homeowners in Downtown Hayward.

Like all KB homes, those offered at Compass will be built to ENERGY STAR® guidelines along with WaterSense® labeled faucets and fixtures, meaning they are designed to be more energy- and water-efficient than most other typical new and resale homes. Every home will also include a solar system. The water- and energy-saving features built into every new KB home can help homeowners save on their monthly utility bills.

The grand opening of Compass will take place Saturday, September 30 at 10 a.m. Be one of the first to tour the community’s beautifully adorned model homes located at 57 Austin Avenue in Hayward. From I-880, take Exit 27/Hwy. 92 East. Turn right on Cypress Avenue, left on Austin Avenue, and Compass will be on the left.
