Marsh & McLennan Companies Names Dan Farrell Head of Investor Relations

Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (NYSE: MMC), a global professional services firm offering clients advice and solutions in risk, strategy and people, announced today that Daniel Farrell has been named Vice President, Head of Investor Relations. Mr. Farrell’s new role is effective as of May 1, 2017.

Mr. Farrell will report to Mark McGivney, Chief Financial Officer of MMC, and be based in MMC’s New York headquarters. In this role, Mr. Farrell succeeds Keith Walsh, who has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of MMC’s Risk and Insurance Services. Mr. Walsh will also serve as Chief Financial Officer of Marsh.

"Dan’s deep experience in insurance and professional services combined with his relationships in the investment community make him an ideal choice to lead our investor relations efforts," said Mr. McGivney. “I look forward to working closely with Dan in his new role.”

Mr. Farrell joined MMC in 2016 as Senior Director of Investor Relations. Prior to joining the Company, he was a Managing Director at Piper Jaffray where he was responsible for coverage and analysis of publicly-traded property and casualty insurance brokers and underwriters. Previously, Mr. Farrell held similar roles at Sterne Agee, Macquarie and Dowling & Partners. He began his career as an analyst at Mercer, a wholly-owned subsidiary of MMC.

Mr. Farrell holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Georgetown University.
