Navigant (NYSE: NCI) announced today the continued expansion of its Disputes, Forensics & Legal Technology (DFLT) segment in Asia with the appointment of two new managing directors, Neill Poole in Hong Kong and Gagan Puri in Singapore.
These experts will assist clients on a broad range of commercial litigation, international arbitration, and investor-state disputes involving complex accounting and valuation issues by acting as expert witnesses or advisors. Through local recruitment and the transfer of experienced staff to Asia, the practice is able to support its clients throughout the region in complex disputes where local accounting expertise and knowledge can be critical.

Neill Poole, Hong Kong
Poole has nearly 30 years’ experience as a forensic accountant and expert witness, and has been based in Hong Kong for more than 15 years. Prior to joining Navigant, he held senior positions in several consulting firms with responsibility for developing their investigations and litigation support, as well as expert witness practices.
Poole has been involved in some of the most complex and high profile disputes cases in the Asia region and elsewhere, and has given expert accounting witness evidence on more than 20 occasions in tribunals in Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. In addition, he has led numerous financial investigation cases across Asia, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other corruption related investigations, fraud investigations, money-laundering investigations, and asset tracing enquiries.
In addition to his forensic accounting and disputes experience, Poole’s expertise also includes insolvency and restructuring cases and advising investors on due diligence and valuation.
Gagan Puri, Singapore
Puri has 20 years’ experience in Big 4 firms, working on a range of forensic, dispute, risk consulting and advisory matters across 29 countries. He is one of India’s most prominent expert witnesses, with significant experience in providing testimony on matters related to disputes, investigations, and general commercial or contractual matters.
Puri’s investigations work has included financial statement fraud, embezzlement, asset misappropriation, bribery and corruption, diversion of funds, economic offences, trade sanctions, and regulatory non-compliance. His experience includes a number of large global investigations with cross border ramifications. Puri’s disputes experience includes preparing expert reports in matters before courts and tribunals in India, international arbitrations in the United Kingdom, U.S., and Singapore, Indian courts both high court and Supreme Court matters, and courts in the United Kingdom, U.S., and in the Middle East.
