ON Semiconductor has adopted a mission of delivering high quality, energy efficient solutions to solve its customers’ electronics design challenges with a world-class supply chain and ethical culture committed to global corporate social responsibility. Sustainability activity and goals throughout the business form part of the fabric of its corporate and social responsibility program and ethics. These provide good examples of what the manufacturing sector can and should do in this area.

As such, ON Semiconductor has been named, for two consecutive years, as a Forbes America’s Best Employer and a “World’s Most Ethical Company” by the Ethisphere Institute. Jackson also was named a Supply Chain Pro to Know by Supply and Demand Chain Executive. During his tenure, ON Semiconductor completed 13 acquisitions and increased revenue by more than $3 billion annually.

“I am humbled and honored to be recognized by the Business Journal,” said Jackson. “It is through the hard work and dedication of over 30,000 employees around the world that our company and leaders continue to be recognized for our successes. I am proud to work alongside such outstanding and driven talent.”

Jackson has over 30 years of semiconductor industry experience. Before joining ON Semiconductor, he was with Fairchild Semiconductor Corporation, serving as Executive Vice President and General Manager, Analog, Mixed Signal, and Configurable Products Groups beginning in 1998, and, more recently, was head of its Integrated Circuits Group. From 1996 to 1998, he served as President and a member of the board of directors of Tritech Microelectronics in Singapore, a manufacturer of analog and mixed signal products. From 1986 to 1996, Jackson worked for National Semiconductor Corporation, most recently as Vice President and General Manager of the Analog and Mixed Signal division. He also held various positions at Texas Instruments Incorporated, including engineering and management positions, from 1973 to 1986. Jackson currently serves on the board of directors of Veeco Instruments, Inc., and has served on the board of directors of the Semiconductor Industry Association since 2008.

“Keith is a unique CEO who couples an engineering and innovative technology mindset. His leadership of our company has transformed us from a standard, commodity device supplier to a solutions based provider with leading differentiated technologies,” said Bill Schromm, executive vice president and chief operating officer. “His awareness of the customer and their challenges goes far beyond simply supplying products. Keith’s tenacity and diligence in such a cyclical industry are unprecedented and have taken our company to new heights by providing unparalleled support for employees and partners alike.”
