Panasonic Takes Part in the "One Year to Go" to Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 Event

Panasonic Corporation (Panasonic) took part in the "One Year to Go" event as well as the test events for the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 (Korea), which began on February 9, 2018.

The "One Year to Go" event took place on February 9, 2017 (organized by the PyeongChang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games) at the ice hockey arena in the Olympic Park(*1) in Gangneung, Gyo-dong. Panasonic Korea exhibited "LUMIX" digital cameras sold in Korea, and also set up a commemorative photo booth and an experiential mini kurling contest to help enliven the event. 7 sponsors took part in this exciting event that welcomed 8,400 visitors.

Panasonic also took part in the test events for the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 organized by international sports federations at the ski jump venue(*2) located in PyeongChang, Gyo-dong from February 14 to 16, 2017 and examined the operation of equipment such as the LED large screen display systems and large audio speakers provided to the venue, so that Panasonic will also be fully ready to support the Games with its AV equipment and system solutions.

Panasonic has supported the Olympic Games as a TOP(*3) sponsor for more than 25 years. Once again, Panasonic will support Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 with a wide range of products and solutions including LED large screen display systems and security cameras.
