Procter & Gamble Introduces Zevoâ„¢ Flying Insect Trap for 24/7 Flying Insect Protection in Your Home without Chemical Insecticides

As the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reports the ending of the United States’ 8th warmest and 11th wettest spring on record, entomologists are predicting the beginning of an increase in flying insects this summer for homes across most of the country. To combat the nuisance of these insects, Procter & Gamble (NYSE: PG) has made limited quantities of Zevo™ available to US consumers. Zevo™ is a new in-home insect control product that continuously eliminates flying insects without chemical insecticides.

Laboratory tested under the supervision of an entomologist at a public research university, Zevo™ has been shown to attract and trap the most common insects, including house flies, mosquitoes, fruit flies, and moths. Zevo was also evaluated by the Good Housekeeping Institute and earned the Good Housekeeping Seal in May 2017.

“Zevo™ is a completely new way to deal with the problem of flying insects in your home,” said Lauren Thaman, P&G Ventures Communications. “We know many people, especially parents and pet owners, face a dilemma when purchasing a product to combat flying insects – they feel they need to choose between using one with chemical insecticides to eradicate them or do nothing and live with insects in their home. Zevo™ helps eliminate these trade-offs. It’s effective at attracting and trapping flying insects in the home, 100% chemical insecticide free, easy to use and you never have to touch a dead insect.”

HOW ZEVO™ WORKS

Zevo is a plug-in flying insect trap with replaceable trap cartridges. Each cartridge continuously lures flying insects, including flies, mosquitos, moths and fruit flies, up to 45 days or until it is full. Zevo smartly simulates insects’ natural biological instincts to entice flying insects with a dual-spectrum light technology. The blue and UV light mimics navigational cues to harness nature’s most primal powers of attraction and then traps flying insects with a powerful adhesive backing into the cartridge. Once full, simply throw the cartridge in the trash without ever touching the dead insects. Zevo is 100% chemical insecticide free so you can confidentially use it any room and any place in your home, including entryways where you come and go, close to trash cans full of items flying insects love, in the kitchen even near food, bathrooms by toothbrushes, and even screened porches or playrooms full of kids and pets.

AVAILABILITY

Zevo™ retails for $12.99 for the starter kit, which contains one device and two refills, and can be purchased on Zevoinsect.com, homedepot.com and on display at local Home Depot stores. For more information please visit www.zevoinsect.com.
