Willdan to Implement $330M Program for Nation’s Largest Municipal Utility

Willdan Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: WLDN) announced today that the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, the nation’s largest municipal utility, has awarded Willdan a $330-million contract to manage and implement the Commercial Direct Install Program. Under this five-year contract, Willdan will provide turnkey energy efficiency, water conservation, and electrification retrofit services to eligible businesses, municipal facilities, and select K-12 schools. The Commercial Direct Install Program contributes toward the City of Los Angeles’s goal to power 100 percent of the City’s electricity from renewable resources by 2035.

“We are excited to build on LADWP’s legacy of providing cost-effective energy efficiency measures to support local businesses and government infrastructure,” said Mike Bieber, Willdan’s CEO. “This program aligns well with Willdan’s capabilities – from resource integration planning for states and utilities to our program management expertise as one of the largest energy efficiency implementers in the country.”
