Though all charts look like we could have a risk-on period ( one can hope for a rise in metals, for a drop in Bonds, for a drop in the Dollar, for Emerging and European equities to rise), we have absolutely no signal in that direction. We know that for months, signals have not worked, but this is cyclical. Consolidations eventually turn into trends, especially when one is deeply convinced that the trend will never come... It is a sort of capitulation, one that is very hard to spot.
