Co.'s business model is closely linked to the integrated nature of its biorefinery in Norway, which utilizes the wood components to produce a portfolio of products. Elk Petroleum is engaged in developing enhanced oil recovery (EOR) projects. Co.'s activities consist of the development of a CO2 EOR project at the Grieve oil field in Wyoming, U.S., continuation of operations at the Singleton Unit in Nebraska for future implementation of an EOR project, and via its acquisition of the Singleton South oil field in Nebraska, the development of potential by-passed oil pool on the southern flank of the Singleton Unit. Co. has two operating segments: Australia, which comprises the corporate head office function; and the U.S., which comprises administration, production, exploration, evaluation and development of oil and gas fields and ownership of pipelines.

Marine Harvest is a seafood company engaged in the production of farmed salmon. Co. offers fresh and processed salmon and other processed seafood to customers in 70 countries worldwide. Co. focuses on three principal types of production activities: salmon feed production in Norway, fish farming and primary processing of fish in Norway, Scotland, Canada, Chile, Ireland, and the Faroe Islands, and secondary processing of seafood in Norway, Chile, Ireland, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan, and South Korea.
