Co.'s operating segments are: Container shipping and related activities which include global container services, inland transportation, manufacturing and repair of containers and container depots, and logistics and forwarding activities; APM terminals; Tankers, offshore and other shipping activities which include tanker shipping of crude oil, oil products and gas, offshore drilling activities and operation of land rigs, supply vessel activities with anchor handling and platform supply vessels, ferry services and door-to-door transportation in Northern Europe; Oil and gas activities; Retail activity; and Shipyards and other activities.

The asset portfolio includes the wholly owned real estate company, Fastighets AB L E Lundberg, the publicly traded subsidiaries, Hufvudstaden and Holmen and the associated companies, Indutrade and Husqvarna. Co. also has major shareholdings in Industrivarden, Handelsbanken, Sandvik and Skanska. Co.'s subsidiary, L E Lundberg Kapitalforvaltning, is engages in securities trading. Operations consist of real estate operations, the manufacture and sale of printing paper, paperboard and sawn timber products, forest and power operations, and equity management (including securities trading).
SAS is engaged in providing transportation services. The core business of Co. is operating passenger flights on a Nordic and international route network. Co.'s three main operational hubs in Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo form the backbone of its flight network. In addition to passenger flights, Co. provides air cargo and other aviation services at selected airports in its route network. Co.'s operations include Scandinavian Airlines. In addition to the airline operations of the consortium Scandinavian Airlines System, Scandinavian Airlines also comprises ground operations, technical operations, SAS Cargo and Blue1. Scandinavian Airlines includes SAS Cargo and SAS Ground Handling.
