Oekoworld - Management fees offset the volatile market

The positive market sentiment towards sustainable investments has allowed Ã–KOWORLD (Ã–WAG) to attract new capital and increase its assets under management (AUM) to â‚¬1.3bn at end-April 2019. This enabled it to keep its revenues broadly flat year on year, despite significantly lower performance fees. Every of its six funds reported a negative price performance in FY18, mainly on the back of the Q418 market drop. The YTD performance of funds is a healthy double-digit level, but values still hover around Q318 heights, limiting the perspectives for FY19 performance fees due to the high-water mark approach. Ã–WAGâ€™s FY18 EPS was â‚¬0.50 following a 51% y-o-y decline, amplified by the lack of positive one-off effects in FY17.

Norcros’s disposal of Johnson Tiles is the latest strategic activity taken by management to better allocate capital to fit with priorities. Last year it closed its UK adhesives operation. Norcros has a compelling investment case, where its new product development initiatives, market positioning and self-help initiatives allow it to take market share in both the UK and South Africa. Its rating is low at 6.0x FY24e P/E, which is attractive, especially when compared to its yield of 5.4% on its well-covered dividend.
