QuickView: Strengthening digital positioning

With the currency story that dominated the interims now fading, focus can shift to WPP’s opportunities in FY15 to concentrate on margins and drive earnings per share. The recent deal with AppNexus highlights the jockeying for position currently in process within ad tech and should allow WPP to retain a strong influence in future developments in this rapidly evolving segment. The shares trade at an 11% premium to the global peers on current year EV/EBITDA, easily justified by the improving margins and prospects for a premium shareholder total return.
