Armacell Launches Dual-Temperature and
Cryogenic Aerogel Insulation Blanket

• ArmaGel(TM) DT aerogel insulation blanket with integrated vapour barrier
• Dual-temperature and cryogenic temperatures down to -180 ⁰C (-292 ⁰F)
• Available in 5, 10, 15, 20 mm thicknesses

Luxembourg, 3 August 2020 - Armacell, a global leader in energy efficiency, announced today the launch of ArmaGel DT, a next generation flexible aerogel blanket for dual-temperature and cryogenic applications.

Considered one of the best performing insulation materials available today, Armacell's latest innovation offers exceptionally low thermal conductivity, superior thermal performance and a reduction in insulation thicknesses compared to competing insulation products. It does not shrink at cryogenic temperatures bringing the simplicity and benefits of hot service insulation to cryogenic service temperatures. Plus, its hydrophobicity and flexibility can provide protection against corrosion under insulation extending asset lifetime.

Additionally, ArmaGel DT provides the customer with more choice and faster installation, as this product introduces 5, 10, 15, and 20 mm thicknesses of aerogel blankets to the market.

Effective insulation is a key factor in tackling climate change, as it is one of the simplest, fastest and most cost-effective means of improving energy efficiency. ArmaGel's superior thermal performance makes it one of the most effective insulation products available to the market today.

Armacell creates this ultra-light, high-tech aerogel blanket technology on its new aerogel production line within Armacell's existing Cheonan facility in South Korea. Covering 21,206 square meters of land, the manufacturing facility close to Seoul is an important hub for industry-leading aerogel manufacturing solutions and lies at the heart of Armacell's vision to be the global leader in providing innovative, technical insulation solutions and components to conserve energy and make a difference around the world.
