Investment company EMERAM sells its portfolio company MEONA to Trill Impact

Munich, 23 June 2021 - Funds advised by EMERAM Capital Partners, one of the leading investment companies for medium-sized companies in the German-speaking region ("EMERAM"), sell their portfolio company MEONA to the private equity firm Trill Impact.

MEONA is considered an innovation leader for clinical software. Numerous university clinics and hospitals use the software to digitalise and optimise hospital processes. Thereby, MEONA contributes to improving the quality of medical treatment and patient care. The company was formed in 2017 under the leadership of EMERAM as a combination of the healthcare IT companies Meona GmbH and E.care bvba and was expanded in 2019 with the acquisition of Dr. Heni Software GmbH & Co. KG. Since then, MEONA has continuously extended its product portfolio through own developments and has successfully driven its internationalisation. Given the strong growth in past years, the number of employees doubled to more than 140.

Subject to the relevant antitrust approvals, this will create another strong player in the healthcare IT market. We welcome this step and support it accordingly with our sale."
