Neubiberg, 16 January 2020 - Encavis Asset Management AG (Encavis AM), a subsidiary of the SDAX-listed Hamburg solar and wind park operator Encavis AG (Prime Standard, ISIN: DE0006095003) based in Neubiberg near Munich, has in Q4 2019 invested for institutional investors, more than 173 MW in wind and solar parks in Europe. On the one hand, additional banks have subscribed the Encavis Infrastructure II Renewables Europe II special fund, which is distributed exclusively by BayernLB. This fund is particularly attractive for this group of investors because of the market price model for risk management according to MaRisk, which has been specially developed and certified for banks. The Fund is administered by HANSAINVEST Lux S.A. In very short time, eight renewable energy plants have been acquired. Two German wind farms with a total generating capacity of 22 MW are located in Brandenburg. The German solar parks (81 MW) are spread over Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Brandenburg and Bavaria. In addition, four Dutch solar parks with a total generating capacity of 53 MW were acquired. The current fund portfolio of the Encavis Infrastructure II Renewables Europe II thus adds up to seven German and four Dutch renewable assets and shall be complemented by further European investments. On the other hand, a well-known insurance group has significantly increased its existing involvement in its Encavis special fund. With part of that liquidity, the Fürstkogel wind farm was recently acquired. The wind farm has a nominal generating capacity of around 17 MW and is located in Styria, an attractive high alpine location in Austria. "It is always particularly gratifying when an investor increases his existing commitment and thus expresses his satisfaction with and trust in us," comments Karsten Mieth, Speaker of the Management Board of Encavis Asset Management AG, the increase. Together with these transactions, the total generating capacity of all wind and solar farms managed for institutional investors adds up to over 700 MW and annually saves CO2 emissions of more than 830,000 tons.
