SHS Managing Partner Manfred Ulmer-Weber
Manfred Ulmer-Weber has been appointed to the management board of SHS Gesellschaft für Beteiligungsmanagement mbH. Ulmer-Weber will be jointly responsible for the allocation of the new SHS VI fund of the Tübingen-based sector specialist. The additional Managing Partner is an SHS home-grown and started his career at SHS in 2010. The shareholders of SHS Gesellschaft für Beteiligungsmanagement mbH have appointed Manfred Ulmer-Weber as an additional Managing Director as of 15 July 2022. SHS is a private equity investor that makes investments in innovative companies in the healthcare, life science and medical technology sectors. The focus of the investments is on expansion financing, shareholder changes and succession situations. The shareholders are Sascha Alilovic, Hubertus Leonhardt, Dr Bernhard Schirmers and Uwe Steinbacher. Manfred Ulmer-Weber, born in 1985, studied international business administration at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen and at the École de Management in Strasbourg. He started his career at SHS during his studies as an intern for the company. At the end of his internship, he stayed on as a student trainee and, based on his outstanding performance and flair for the industry, was offered a position as SHS Investment Manager in 2010. This was followed by his appointment as Senior Investment Manager in 2012 and Partner in 2019. Manfred holds board and shareholder positions for SHS Funds, for example at the fast-growing portfolio companies Develco Pharma Schweiz AG, TRI Dental Implants Int. AG and Blazejewski MEDI-TECH GmbH. "We are also aiming for further investments in the healthcare sector in the coming quarters," Ulmer-Weber continues. "Manfred will play a significant role in implementing the investment strategy of our new SHS VI fund generation." SHS has a four-member management team, consisting of Ulmer-Weber, Sascha Alilovic, Hubertus Leonhardt and Uwe Steinbacher. Ulmer-Weber succeeds the retired Managing Partner and Founder Dr Bernhard Schirmers, who is still working as a transitional Founding Partner due to his retirement.
