KAP AG: ECKEHARD FORBERICH TO BE APPOINTED AS A NEW MEMBER AND SPOKESMAN OF THE MANAGEMENT BOARD AS OF 1 MARCH 2020

Fulda, 28 February 2020 - The KAP AG Supervisory Board has appointed Eckehard Forberich as a new member and Spokesman of the Management Board with effect as of 1 March 2020. Uwe Stahmer, who had been appointed to a temporary member of the Management Board as of 1 October 2019, will resign his position with the appointment of the new member and will resume his position on the Supervisory Board, which had been put on hold while he served on the Management Board.

Physics and business graduate Eckehard Forberich (53) has garnered extensive experience from a range of management positions, including as a partner at the management consultancy Roland Berger, as a management board member at Deutsche Steinzeug Cremer & Breuer and as a managing director of automotive supplier Uniwheels. In the beginning of his career, he worked in investment banking at Deutsche Bank AG. Within these roles, he was responsible for strategy development, portfolio management, measures management, programme management and cost management, among other things. Closely connected with this were the topics of expansion financing and capital markets. He was primarily concerned with issues relating to technologies from the metal and plastics processing industries as well as chemicals and technical services.

Chairman of the Supervisory Board at KAP AG, Christian Schmitz, emphasises: "We are sure that, with his many years of management experience and extensive expertise from a range of different industries, we have obtained a highly qualified Spokesman of the KAP AG Management Board in Mr Forberich.
