This means: PANTAFLIX will provide FILMSCHOOLFEST MUNICH with the technology of its streaming platform. At the FILMSCHOOLFEST MUNICH, film students from all over the world present their short films. The festival will in principle celebrate its 40^th anniversary in 2020. Since the circumstances due to the coronavirus pandemic make it impossible to hold a presence in the cinemas on site, the festival will take place as FILMSCHOOLFEST MUNICH 39 ½ from November 12 to 22, 2020. About FILMSCHOOLFEST MUNICH
Since 1981, the Munich International Festival of Film Schools has been an important meeting place for the celebrated film directors of tomorrow. Its founder, Professor Wolfgang Längsfeld, directed the festival until 2002; Diana Iljine has been its director since 2011. This is one of the world's leading festivals for young filmmakers. Each year, film schools from all over the world submit current works by their students to be reviewed by a committee of experts. The 50 or so short fiction, documentary, animated and experimental films the committee selects for the festival are screened in international competition, where they vie for lucrative prizes.
