CTL has just released its scoping study on Laguna Verde, confirming the likelihood of initial production by 2026. It examined a production scenario of 20kt lithium carbonate for an operational life of 30-years (which we consider a minimum). The study suggests C1 costs ~US$3,900/t, capex ~$380m (including a 10% contingency); using a LT price of $22.5k/t LCE, resulting in a post-tax NPV8% of $1.83Bn, an IRR of 45.1% and a payback period of ~20 months.
