IBA – ACQUISITION OF OWN SHARES

Immediate Release – May 6th, 2021

Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, May 6th, 2021 - In accordance with article 8:4 of the Royal Decree of 29 April 2019 executing the Belgian Code on Companies and Associations, Ion Beam Applications SA (“IBA”) hereby discloses information in relation to its share buyback program announced on January 12th, 2021.

Under this program, IBA has requested a financial intermediary to repurchase up to 357.000 IBA ordinary shares on its behalf under the terms of a discretionary mandate agreement with validity until May 31st, 2021, effective as from January 13th, 2021, to cover the company’s obligations under a long term incentive plan for certain members of its personnel.

In the framework of this share buyback program, IBA repurchased 22.915 IBA shares on Euronext Brussels in the period from April 30th, 2021 up to and including May 6th, 2021, as follows:

The total number of shares purchased under this program therefore amounts to 317.326. As a result, IBA SA currently holds 791.547 treasury shares (directly and indirectly through its subsidiary IBA Investments SCRL), representing 2,63% of its share capital.

IBA FIRST LOOK: FY25 REBIT +58%, FY26 guidance of at least 17% growth

IBA reported solid FY25 results, with revenues up 24% to € 620m (kbcse: € 614m), driven by an accelerated backlog conversion and good order intake. However, gross profit margins still contracted by 150bps to 32.2%, driven by negative mix effects from legacy lower margin PT contracts.
