Polish Mutual Fund Flows: Equity outflows defined total flows

We estimate that in July total inflows to capital market funds reached PLN 120m. The money market gained PLN 1.3bn which was partially offset by outflows from equity funds of PLN 275m and absolute return funds of PLN 610m. Fixed income funds suffered PLN 372m of outflows. Money market funds maintained their inflow momentum with 9-month streak of inflows exceeding PLN 1.1bn.
We calculate Polish mutual funds sold a net PLN 534m of equities of which a net PLN 346m was sold in foreign markets and PLN 188m was sold in the Polish market. Total AuM increased to PLN 281.5bn, which was partially attributable to strong equity performance.

PKO TFI saw the highest inflows followed by Union Investment TFI, while Altus TFI and Trigon TFI suffered the biggest outflows.
