Polish Mutual Fund Flows: Global equities attract Polish flows; local don't

We estimate that in October total inflows to capital market funds reached PLN 2,06bn. The money market gained PLN 894m, fixed income funds PLN 267m, mixed funds PLN 383m and equity funds gained PLN 175m. Funds from the ‘other’ category, including absolute return funds, gained PLN 345m of assets net. PKO TFI saw the highest inflows followed by Union Investment TFI and Investors TFI. Rockbridge TFI suffered the biggest loss of assets under management.
We calculate Polish mutual funds bought a net PLN 281m of equities of which a net PLN 578m was bought in foreign markets and PLN 297m was sold in the Polish market.
