Polish Mutual Fund Flows: Money market funds on the rise

We estimate that in February total inflows to capital market funds reached PLN 1.53bn. The money market gained PLN 2.0bn and fixed income funds gained PLN 335m. This was partially offset by outflows from mixed funds of PLN 111m and equity funds of PLN 696m. Money market funds maintained their inflow momentum and in last four months have gained c.a. PLN 5.9bn. Together with fixed income funds total inflows amounted to PLN 7.12bn.
PKO TFI saw the highest inflows followed by Union Investment TFI, while Quercus TFI suffered the biggest loss of assets under management.
We calculate Polish mutual funds sold a net PLN 694m of equities of which a net PLN 129m was sold in foreign markets and PLN 565m was sold in the Polish market.
