Polish Mutual Fund Flows: Money Market funds still on the rise

We estimate that in May total inflows to capital market funds reached PLN 1.39bn. The money market gained PLN 1.8bn and funds from other category gained PLN 201m. This was partially offset by outflows from equity funds of PLN 176m and fixed income funds of PLN 361m. Mixed market funds suffered PLN 50m of outflows. Money market funds maintained their inflow momentum and in last six months have gained almost PLN 10.25bn.
We calculate Polish mutual funds sold a net PLN 221m of equities of which a net PLN 74m was sold in foreign markets and PLN 146m was sold in the Polish market. Total AuM increased to PLN 283.6bn, mainly due to inflows from dedicated funds.
PKO TFI saw the highest inflows followed by Union Investment TFI, while Millennium TFI suffered the biggest loss of AuM.
