Chamberlin (CMH): Trading healthy, technical issues improving
Chamberlin remains on track strategically, as good progress is made towards resolving the technical problems at the new machine shop. The group has consequently delivered a significantly improved performance in the second half of 2017/18. Prospects are most encouraging, the group continues to develop its product offering to the automobile turbocharger industry through expansion of its main operational facilities. We are maintaining our 2018/19 forecasts. The shares remain attractively valued against the peer group on most methodologies.Chamberlin is engaged in the production and sale of iron castings. Co. operates in two segments, Foundries and Engineering. The Foundries segment is engaged in supplying iron castings, in raw or machined form, to a variety of industrial customers who incorporate the castings into their own products or carry out further machining or assembly operations on the castings before selling them on to their customers. The Engineering segment is engaged in manufacturing and imported products to distributors and end-users operating in the safety and security markets. The products fall into the categories of door hardware, hazardous area lighting and control gear.
