J Ganes Consulting Softs Weekly February 8th 2018

The Softs Complex didn’t swoon with the carnage in the stock market.  Inflation fears help to prop up commodity prices, although is then offset by worries over rate hikes coming too fast as a counter measure.

Fundamentals are generally supportive for each market or simply bearish news would seem to be factored in already.

Note: Next week I will be in Kampala at the African Fine Coffee Association conference.  It is a week that in the past I wound up not publishing the weekly reports due to timing conflicts with the coffee conference schedule or poor internet connections in some of the host countries.  I am going to try to publish next week and will send out an alert if that changes.
