In an expected simplification transaction, Enbridge Inc. proposed to acquire all of the outstanding shares of its sponsored vehicles in exchange for Enbridge Inc. shares. Under four separate transactions, Enbridge proposed to issue 272 million common shares, worth CAD 11.4 billion. Under the proposal, shareholders of Enbridge Energy Partners will receive 0.3083 common shares of Enbridge Inc., approximating CAD 2.8 billion.
